Embodied Eros & Heart’s Desire

JULY 22-27, 2019

What's the deal?

Bienvenue on the southwestern French countryside.

Bodyfulness – Come to Life!

This retreat is about embodiment, feminine mysteries, sexuality and intimacy of the heart. Through movement and sitting meditations, somatic experiencing, breathwork, dialogue as inquiry, bodywork, floorwork, rituals, shamanic journeying, painting and journaling you will dive in to flow of life.

We will be a group of women that have experience on self-inquiry and grounded spirituality. We create a field that supports expression, creativity, sound, primal motion, joy, earth connection, intuitive seeing and sovereignty. Through talks and group processes we explore emotional intimacy and all the ways we might steer away from it. We explore the ways of transforming fear into curiosity and play, and enhancing our ability to allow more life force energy to flow through our bodies.

Are you packing already?

An instructor that will support you - and discover together with you!

I’m a visual artist and an embodiment coach. For the last five years my life has concentrated on the healing possibilities of sexual energy and integrative bodywork. My work brings together sexuality and spirituality. My practices bring awareness to how we can affect our collective energy field and our life. I’m a qualified Psychosexual Somatics Practitioner and NLP Master Practitioner. My teachings also take influences from dance, Shiatsu, shamanism, Tantra and mindfulness.

My spiritual roots are in Vipassana meditation since ten years, and this practice has been a great platform for my transformation and more mystical qualities of spirituality. I have a strong connection to Finnish forest and its animals, and I spend a lot of time simply tuning into the land, water, air, trees and plants. I recently ran a series of natural elements workshops in Finland, and also in France we will explore the qualities of water, air, earth and fire.

This retreat in France has had a special quality from the beginning, the first launch over a year ago embarked me on a mystical sexual awakening, influenced by Magdalene and Christ archetypes. Also, Southern France holds a special flavour of both warrior (Jean D’Arc) and heart based feminine leader (Magdalene) archetypes, so I’m really looking forward to working with you all through these, and many more perspectives. Each one of you will bring your own quality to our experience together. Nothing will be forced on you. This will be a grounded and loving field, where things have time to mature.

I’ve studied different dances like ballet, house, contact impovisation, trance dance, Butoh, Tango, street, Kizomba, Zouk and floorwork.

I have Master’s Degree (MA) in Art and Design from Brighton University and I worked as an illustrator and designer for twelve years before changing careers. I’m an encouraging and passionate teacher for your intuitive visual experimenting. An artist’s way of being is that of curiosity, observation, play and open-endedness. I hope to invite these qualities to our exploration together.

See you in France!

Sweet dreams guaranteed...

You will stay in the Guest House of the Happy Hamlet, which centuries ago was home for several families and now has been turned into a place for feeling good. The charming rooms (double or twin) have each an ensuite bathroom with a window. The house has been renovated by preserving as much of the old as possible, yet keeping the comfort in mind. Many recycled treasures have been given new life allowing them to tell you their stories from the past.

The huge barn will be your lounge, salon and kitchen whenever needed, and the vast property offers woods and prairies, fields and valleys for you to explore. You are welcome to enjoy the organic produce from the garden whenever feel like having a healthy snack. With the sessions and discussions, other activities and visits you will surely have plenty to do, to explore and to experience – but you will certainly have your free time, too. Nothing beats the hammock under the trees for good relaxation!

At night, once in bed, you’ll be guaranteed a good night’s sleep because the only background noise will be the owl informing that everything is.. just fine.

See gallery in the bottom of the page or visit directly here for more photos of The Happy Hamlet property, the Guest House & rooms, the barn, the outdoors and more. Lovely feedback and reviews from our previous guests can be found on our testimonials page, on our Facebook (click “most recent”), and even on TripAdvisor (search The Happy Hamlet).

In France they say "Bon Appétit". And they mean it, literally.

Meals are prepared with own organic produce combined with the offering from the local farmers. The region’s wine selection is impressive, and you will be able to taste and find your favorites both during the meals as well as visits to the vineyards. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and all drinks are included.

You can join the “hamleters” and visit one of the daily markets to hand-pick all the fresh goodies for a pique-nique. Neither will we miss the evening dinner market and eating out under the stars with the fellow-villagers. Bon appétit indeed!

And when we say local, we mean local – check out the foodie map of the surrounding producers.
