Hygiene & Cosmetic Products
Hygiene and cosmetic products (shampoos, conditioners, shower gels, facial masks, female hygiene products, sun screens, mosquito repellents etc.) are located in baskets in the end of the entrance hall of the Guest House.
Toilet Paper
Maybe a bit surprisingly, but we would like to point out a few things about our toilet paper 🙂 We’ll give the floor to “Who Gives A Crap”, the coolest toilet paper brand in the world (our personal opinion):
“Trees are for climbing, not wiping! All of our products are plastic free and made from 100% recycled materials or bamboo – we’re helping reduce deforestation one flush at a time.
A third of the world doesn’t have access to a toilet. That’s 2 billion people! Without loos, people get really sick. That’s why we donate 50% of our profits to help build toilets for communities without proper sanitation.”
Our note: Isn’t it great we can do some good together?!
Bathroom Soaps
The little artisan soaps in your bathroom are made by Pascale in our village, just a stone’s throw away from the Hamlet. All her soaps are hand-made, natural and organic. And what is really really cool about these soaps is that they are for all body and even for hair. How handy!
We also have them on sale in our Boutique, because these little gems make a perfect little souvenir for a friend. Also a nice gift for yourself!
All soaps in the Hamlet (in the kitchen and toilet) are recycled from Pascal’s unfinished soaps. You can also find these upcycled soaps at the rear of the entrance hall of the Guest House – we offer these as free gifts to you.
Hair Dryers
You can find a hair dryer either in your bathroom or at the rear of the entrance hall of the Guest House.
Towels
If the towels in your room are good to serve you throughout your whole stay, that is great (especially for the environment). But if you need a new one, please do not hesitate to ask!
Window Shutters
Window shutters are your curtains. If you’re not like us who like to wake up to the first rays of sun, you may want to close them for the night. Also, the lights outside are automatic, so if your rhythm is different from others, you won’t be disturbed by the lights going on and off when someone moves around in the courtyard.
Summer guests: For your own comfort, please remember to close the window shutters during the day time. The old stone walls are great to keep the house cool even during the hottest period, but we need a little attention from you as well 🙂
Socks
Wool socks in the hallway of the Guest House and the Barn are for the comfort of those of you with the same issues (constant cold feet) as us. Grab a pair you like and keep warm! Please leave on the floor at the end of the stay so we know they need a wash.
Washing Machine & Dryer
If you rent the whole property, you are welcome to also use the washing machine and dryer in the Barn.
Wifi
The wifi is provided with the adapters plugged in the power sockets, one in the barn and another in the Guest House. You are able to connect to wifi anywhere you wish by replacing the adapter – this means also outdoors, but please, do not forget to return it inside in case of rainy weather.
As isolated as we are, you won’t find any other wifis on the typically long list. The one called “The Happy Hamlet” works without a password and the other one “STRONG_6cd8_2” has a password: y7dk3emBky (the password can also be found in the back of the gadget).
Electricity & Sockets
The electricity switchboard is located on the left side in the entrance hall (behind a white curtain). This is the main switchboard for the property. In case there are any issues with the electricity, please contact us immediately.
There are several (8-10) power sockets in each room. Sometimes they’re hidden behind a piece of furniture, but if you look around, you should be all set to charge all your gadgets at the same time.
Lights
Please turn off your lights when you leave your room. The environment will thank you! Please note that the lights in the hallway are automatic.
Baby Bed
We have one baby bed with bedding at your disposal. Please ask us and we’ll bring it in your room.
