Even if there’s plenty to do in the Hamlet, we highly recommend exploring also outside of our little hideaway! There’s an abundance of things to do and places to see, here are just a few tips – hope they’ll be helpful to make your stay even more pleasant!

Markets
Our go-to market is on Saturday (7am to 1pm) in Montaigu de Quercy (15 km), but especially in the high season there are markets almost every day somewhere nearby. You can find the most updated information here.
If you’re planning to explore further away, you might want to match your visit with a market, too. This site will give you details on markets in the whole department.
Villages
We are surrounded by many beautiful medieval villages. The most renowned is Lauzerte (15 kilometres from the Hamlet), which appears on the list of the most beautiful villages in France (Les plus beaux villages de France).
Other villages interesting to visit are Montaigu de Quercy (15 km) with its lively Saturday market and a beautiful church on top of the hill and Roquecor (15 km). You can find more information here.

We believe the countryside is the best you can do for a good relaxation, but if you wish to explore the cities around, here are a few tips (in order of distance from the Hamlet):

We organise wine tastings directly in the Hamlet, but if you wish to visit independently the vineyards, here is a little list of winemakers that we think you would enjoy visiting.

Open Air
There are a lovely places for outdoor activities such as Canoe-Kayak, Canyoning, Potholing, Stand Up Paddle, Via Ferrata, and Climbing.
Check out e.g. Kalapca Loisirs for activities and please do visit the lovely Saint-Cirq-Lapopie village, or head to the village of Saint Antonin Noble-Val (with one of the most charming Sunday markets!) and visit Cap Canoe Aveyron for outdoor activities. Even if a bit further away (75 km), both these medieval villages are gorgeous and definitely worth a little stroll!
Workshops
We have a network of lovely professionals with whom you could indulge yourself in art, soap-making, cooking, wild plants, pottery, infusions etc. – Do not hesitate to ask us for more information!
Walks & Wikiloc
There are plenty of possibilities for walks around the Hamlet. Ask for a map or download the Wikiloc app and search for “The Happy Hamlet”.
Swimming
The Ingreo in Montauban (45 minutes drive) is one of the biggest water parks in France. On a hot and sunny summer day it may well be worth taking your crew out for a day trip with the option of a picnic on their grounds – or a nice lunch in one of the old town restaurants of Montauban.
Extreme
If you’re into more the extreme type of activities, we are not short of those either in the region.
The School of Parachutisme in Bouloc (10 km) is a few minutes away,
Tennis
There is a tennis court in Touffailles, please ask us for the procedure with the key and reservations.
Horse Riding
Domaine Equestre de Lauzerte is only a 15 minute ride away for those who would like to discover on a horse.
